Yesteryear Collection

Fireman considered the Ahrens Fox fire engines to be the best of all American fire fighting vehicles. This 1930 Aherns Fox was specially designed and was very distinctive. Ahrens Fox called it the Quad because of its four outstanding fire fighting features: A 1000 gallon per minute pump; an on board 100 gallon water storage tank with a small diameter booster hose for quick attack; over 200 linear feet of ladder; and over 1000 feet of large diameter hose. This enormous fire fighting potential was powered by a 1160 cu. in. six cylinder engine. The vehicle was capable of speed in excess of 50 miles per hour.
